MYSTREET - YOUR STORY TOLD THROUGH FILM

CONFLUX seeks to uncover the textures and rhythms which construct and shape our coastal landscapes by creating an evocative portrait of Beachy Head. Time lapse techniques were used to capture these unique images and location sound.

One Autumn evening, night traffic & traffic light sequences - as reflected in a metal signpost - were captured on film. Over subsequent evenings, environmental recordings were collected in the same location. Through playful montage & layering, Stop:Go explores rhythm & occurrence in everyday life.

Take a group of refugee women in northwest London with children in the same school, add spicy east African food, support from local people and a couple of grants and hey presto, you have: Spice Caravan.

A filmmaker endeavours to meet 77 people of varying nationalities within 77 paces of her front door. A celebration of the cultural diversity of one street in North London. The footage of this film was originally shot for Straight 8 2011,and has subsequently been re-edited to its original soundtrack
